We've had this problem since we implemented SEP. I have specified exclusion IP ranges for everything except our DHCP range. Unknown device failures never are cleared from reporting - the total continues to grow. These are always within our DHCP ranges. I was advised by Symantec tech support that the only way to clear them was to disable the Unmanagaed Dectors for two heartbeats and then enable and configure them again. We have over 50 Unmanaged Detectors so it is an unacceptable solution. What can be done to automate this?
