In my support case 09204755 , I indicated that after my LUA hard disk filled and I received a one shot alarm email, but then on the subsequent daily failures, no more email at all. If I miss the first 1 or 2 emails, the subsequent errors can remained unnoticed until after 1 month all clients report "Contents out of date" to all client computers.
Three messages involved :
1) OK : If the taks manages to start, but then fails due to lack of disk space, the email is sent at each failed job.
"Download request n°xyz started by adminnn has failed."
2) NOK: when disk space is going under the threshold, alarm email is sent only ONCE.
"Warning: Free disk space is low on the drive to which the LiveUpdate Administrator is installed."
3) NOK: If the disk space is insufficent for the task to start, then NO email is sent. Only this error is logged in the LUA:
"Failed to execute schedule a Download des updates de routine due to insufficient free space for updates."
Suggestions:
For email alert 2): send a daily email until problem is solved
For event 3) : send an alert email at each failure
Add also to alaram email the event "Some error occurred while running the purge schedule for server "Default Production Distribution Center.". Its due to this daily recurring alarm that after a couple of weeks my LUA hard disk drive was full. Until then the alarm when unnotified...
