Endpoint Protection 12.1.2015.2015

refer support case 05555103

When a machine has been turned off or disconnected from the domain/internet for a period of time, the user is notified that definitions are out of date. There previously was a check box on this dialog "do not remind me again until after the next update". Curently the dialog reappears every 60 seconds or so - and this makes usage of the machine difficult. eg presentation at remote location using a laptop.

I have been advised that the only way to receive this check box in Windows 7 is to make the user a local administrator AND turn off UAC. Such a group of people are the last ones I would like to turn off UAC for, and certainly not allow them to stop the reminders!

This to me is a bug that should have been resolved when UAC was introduced.

The options available should be manageable through SEPM, and include "Postpone for 5 / 30 / 120 minutes". Ability to turn off completely should be customisable.

Consideration should also be made when displaying this dialog box if the client is in the process of downloading and installing the latest definitions. Having all staff return from the Christmas break and call me about an out of date definition is rather annoying.
