Maintenance Patches (MPs) released on top of SEP some times don't get installed properly since older versions may not always be the most recent ones e.g. RU4 updates may get installed over RU2 version etc. That necessiates using 'cleanwipe' tool prior to successful installation of a new update.
Since manual usage of 'cleanwipe' tool is not always efficient for various reasons like changing versions over time, it would be useful if the tool is incorporated into the Installation wizard of the MPs when they are released.
The installation wizard shall check the prior version installed and then invoke the relevant version of 'cleanwipe' tool prior to installing a new update so that older versions are completely uninstalled to facilitate seemless upgrade to the latest updates.
This would preempt customer complaints related to installation of MPs.
