SEP 12.1 - Configure Explicit GUP networks - Allow for Subnet mask definition

Within SEP 12.1 if you use the LiveUpdate Policy Component - Group Update Provider - Explicit Group Update Provider for Roaming Clients, you can only define Client Access Networks from the Client perspective.   Meaning that if you have multiple IP networks at within a single site, you need to define each network individually.

For example - Your Chicago Office has IP addresses 10.1.0.0 - 10.1.255.0,  you have to list each network that a SEP client would potentially be a member of 10.1.1.0, 10.1.2.0, etc.

If SEP Manager would allow the Administrator to choose a subnet mask or a IP range similiar to the Location Awareness logic, the SEP admin could easily use a wildcard to say all SEP clients from 10.1.0.0/16 or 10.1.0.0/255.255.0.0 go to a single GUP network segment.

This would make client management significantly less complex and burdensome.

Thanks,

Rich
