Some troubleshooting requires deleting corrupted definitions, running thru the step in Article HOWTO59193 or TECH166923 (www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO59193 or www.symantec.com/docs/TECH166923) is time consuming.
My recommendation is Auto delete corrupted definitions on SEP / GUPs and SEPM. Automatically check the health of definitions and fix if needed. This will reduce administration efforts. This will fix all downstream issues (SEPM – GUPs - SEP)
This is needed especially the density of sectors are getting tighter on hard disks, things get corrupt easily.
This is useful LiveUpdate server too.
