In the email alerts from Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition, the notification references the Computer Alias field, not the actual current hostname. The Computer Alias field is populated in the cloud dashboard as the hostname of the computer at the time the AV client is installed. If you change the computer name after that point in time, the Computer Name field updates in the dashboard, but the Computer Alias field does not change. This makes it confusing when you receive alerts listing the label in the Computer Alias when the actual current hostname of the PC is different.
I propose one of two options:
1. Create an option to change the notifications so it references the Computer Name instead of the Computer Alias.
2. Create a feature with an option to keep the Computer Name and Computer Alias fields synched, so that the alias always matches the current computer hostname, or at least a one-time mass resync that can be run manually.
