Update Ghost

We install a lot of laptops for our customers and each new one is upgraded with an SSD hard drive when it  comes in.

I use Ghost 3.3 RU3 to create the image of the hard drive that came with the system on to the SSD hard drive. The hard

drives that are now coming installed on the new laptops are 1 TB. The majority of the SSD hard drives we are going to

upgrade the laptop to are 500 GB. If the Windows 10 OS has not been extracted and installed on the 1 TB hard drive then

Ghost has no problem cloning the drive to the 500 GB SSD hard drive. If the OS has been extracted and installed on the

1 TB drive then Ghost cannot clone it. I receive the "Destination drive is too small" error message. I have talked to the Support

group and tried all the switches they recommeded and it still will not copy the 1 TB drive to the SSD drive. According to one

of the higher level support techs the current version of Ghost cannot do this copy. Note that in the past I have been able to

copy 500 GB hard drives to 250 GB SSD drives with no problems. This included drives where the OS had already been setup

and things like Office installed. We do at times have to clone older, smaller hard drives to new larger hard drives due to the older

drive having problems and "dying."  As most of the new laptops are coming with 1 TB drives this is an issue that needs to be

resolved if your customer are to continue using Ghost, otherwise we will find it necessary to go to another vendors software.
