Password protected files are now getting treated as encrypted attachments. So we now have hundreds of emails constantly getting quarantined because they are password protected. Something needs to be done about this very big problem. The Encrypted attachment rule under Malware is turned on. We have many password protected PDF files that are received/sent sent each day, which were delivered normally without triggered this rule in the older version. Because SMG treats the detection of these Password protected PDF files as the Encrypted files, the password protected PDF files are being quarantined. We have check the quarantine folder manually, so that we can release the password protected PDF file from trusted senders. Need the option to define the condition to exclude the password protected PDF files, either by file type or preferably by trusted senders.
