Why not auto-recompile SEP client after Linux system upgrade ?

Hi,

On Linux (for example Red Hat enterprise), each time a system update or a security update is installed, then SEP client is not functionnal because it needs to be compiled again.

The https://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH253354 explain this situation. But the problem is that we must do this manually every month when we install updates on the Linux system.

So, could you propose an automatic solution that do the following :

- detect if autoprotect is malfunctionning

- if yes, detect if a system upgrade took place since last compilation of SEP client

- if yes, backup actual SEP client state and then re-compile the SEP client as described in the TECH253354

- run SEP client, if autoprotect is running, then End of process / if not running the send an alert to SEPM

We have nothing to do on MacOs or Windows platforms, so why must WE re-compile YOUR SEP client on Linux ??

Thank you.

Best regards
