Recently, I had to replace my Symantec Messaging Gateway Control Center because the upgrade to 10.5.1-2 corrupted my local administrator database. Rather than trying to fix it, support highly recommended that I create a new control center. That may sound easier said than done because I could not use my SMG configuration backup as anything I restore had some corruption as well. If anyone as had to manually re-enter all of the SPAM policy, Relay Table and Domain table, you know that it is very tedius job and any mistake made affects many users and messages. Luckily relay table had an export option and my spam policy was restorable. The only thing I had to manually configure was my domain list. Our company has 85 domains thru various acquisitions and marketing promotion. I managed to get 98% of the domains corrected but missed 2 domain and I had lots of upset users. Had SMG included the export option, I would have just export and imported the domains.
Thank you for taking this into consideration.
