As GSS gets updated over time, support is added to the product for features such as newer WinPE PXE Automation evironments. When a particular WinPE environment is referenced in an automation job, the PXE manager prevents deletion of the WinPE environment because it has been locked and is marked as being "in use." If you have dealt with this in the past, you probably have established some SQL Queries/Commands that allow you to reset the referenced WinPE image which will free it up and allow you to delete it.
I think a feature that would be well received is to make this simple for administrators to deal with over time. My suggestion would be to have a button/function to allow the arbitrary clearing of the associations to the locked WinPE Environments which would then allow for the deletion of the locked WinPE easily from the interface without having to dig into SQL.
An alternative to this would be providing a list of jobs that are referencing the WinPE so that you could go and manually change the association individually as well as having the ability to clear all.\
This has probably been requested 1,000 times before, but also providing a robust job search feature which would allow search criteria such as the following:
- WinPE Environment Association (Obviously)
Here are som others I think would also be well received.:
- Production/Automation Context
- User account context
- Job Name
- Job Author
- Time/Date - Created
- Time/Date - Last Run
- Task Types
- Upcoming Schedules
- Job Details/Description
- Job Conditions
- Etc. Etc. Etc...
Thanks hope to see this functionality added to the product. :)
