SEP14 Client Log Missing Entries on SEPM Due to Small Log Size

We are have a SEP policy deployed to our clients to log all file transfers to USB devices, and send these logs into SEP Management servers, and then we ingest them into Splunk for data leakage reporting.

However the Control Log on the client fills up extremely quickly.. we've upgraded the log file size to 9.999MB which is the maximum, the log continues to fill on the client, but does not accurately update to the SEP Management servers.

Support technicians state this is a product limitation with SEP 14 client, and needs to be addressed via enchancement request.

The logging of stolen, pirate, pornographic, and malware type files is a significant priority for all IT Security teams, and should be addressed as soon as possible; we need to ensure all data transfers are accurately captured at the client and passed to the management servers for reporting.

We ned this reporting to be accurate for legal issues.
