SMG, PGP, Blue Coat

Dear Symantec Team,

we have the following scenario.

We have onsite a SMG and we need to be able to decrypt incoming emails, scan them and then pass them on to our mail server.

In order to give your more information please review the following.

We have onsite, a Symantec Messaging Gateway, a Symantec PGP server and a Symantec Blue coat server.

With the 3 above mentioned systems we cannot decrypt encrypted emails in order to scan them for antiviruses.

Can you please consider a way so that the SMG can communicate with the Symantec PGP server,

then decrypt incoming emails,

send a copy to the sandbox

then the sandbox sends a verdict to the SMG

then the SMG takes action on that email accordingly (based on rules and policies.)

Isnt it a pity that we have so many Symantec products ( we also have DLP, endpoint protection, and backup exec , it shows that we like Symantec a lot doesnt it?) but still cannot achieve what we want?

I think that had it been there a way for these 3 products to "talk" to each other (mostly SMG and PGP) this solution will be a very strong counter measure for viruses.

Remaining at your disposal for further questions and answers
