SEPM Enable Direct Deletion of Clients

It's extremely frustrating that one cannot directly delete old clients from SEPM. I have had a support case open for days now, and am waiting to see if someone knowledgeable about the internals of SEPM can help. Bottom line is that we upgraded from 12 to 14 to see if the sweep process would work to get our SEP installation to show that we're in compliance with our licensing. However, the sweep process is still not deleting clients that are still in the db from several years ago.

However, I'm more than annoyed now, given the situation. It appears to me that Symantec made a marketing decision to disable a feature to Delete a client from the SEPM console. (The option is grayed out in the right-click menu for client administration.) How can we directly edit the internal database to get rid of these clients?
