SMG license registration behaviour

This year (2017) when received renewed licenses for our SYMC PROTECTION SUITE ENTERPRISE EDITION 5.0 PER USER RENEWAL ESSENTIAL 12 MONTHS I found a problem for registering the license into SMG 10.6. It is an error:

Cannot register the specified license file.
Unable to communicate with Symantec to register. Please check your connection settings, and try again. Registration Server returned: 503 Service Unavailable

After submitting this error to Symantec Support (Case: 11749524) I was told I cannot register the license in advance, that I have to register the same day when the old one ends.

I found this change problematic. Can you go back SMG the way it process license registration?

Today I have SMG with an ended license and still cannot register any license, i get the very same error.

Only after a few hours I was able to register succesfully a SLF licence file, not two others.

I am dissapointed and confused both with the fact that now I have to wait up to the exact day of the end (or the start) of the license, and the behaviour of the product when reject the licence file.

Hope you fix properly.
